Celebrity couple Mzwandile Ngubeni and Nolwazi Shange are divorcing.

Shange verified the information in a ZiMoja interview, revealing that she and the former The River star are nearing the end of their divorce proceedings.

“Yes, we have parted ways, which is unfortunate. We are nearing the end of our divorce,” Shange remarked.

The Ngubeni surname has been removed from the Outlaws actress’s social media pages. She has also taken off her wedding band.

“We decided to part ways peacefully after 13 years of marriage and raising children together. I mean, this is someone I used to love and cherish greatly. Never would I want to enter

I would never want to go into detail about what happened and paint him in a bad light. I always want him to be great and do well and hopefully one day, he finds love again and for me to move on,” she added.

According to Shange, who is a South African Film and Television Award winner, she is now rebuilding her life.

“I will always put my family first, my children, him, and protect what is close to me. With the divorce almost final, I am rebuilding. I have had time to cry,” she explained.

The actress added that she has not fully healed from the separation, but vowed to always do all she can to protect Ngubeni’s reputation.

“I have not completely healed but I am getting there. I am in a good place. I have support from family. My job now is never to shame him but to always protect his reputation and what is mine.”

The former Scandal! actress and her estranged husband got married in 2016. A year later, they welcomed their first child together – a baby boy named Ntsika – TshisaLIVE reported.

“We feel fortunate and content right now. We were married last year, so everything is happening at the perfect moment. Since we weren’t even attempting to conceive, we believe that everything happened in God’s timing. However, we grasp the blessing wholeheartedly,” Ngubeni remarked at the time.

In 2021, the TV stars remarried. Shange clarified at the time that their civil ceremony wedding in 2016 included a little meal.

“Five years ago, our close friends and family joined us for lunch at our house after we signed. We made the decision to enjoy this year,” she posted on Instagram.
