Tony first experienced his fatherhood during his marriage to his first wife, Patricia Beech. The “Way You Look Tonight” singer married Patricia in 1952 and less than three years later their eldest son Danny was born. They later welcomed their son Dae, but Tony and Patricia split in 1971.

That same year, the legendary singer walked down the aisle with his second wife, Sandra Grant Bennett. Tony and Sandra dated for more than eight years but officially split in 1987. Their divorce was reportedly not finalized until 2007. Despite the messy split, the former duo had two daughters, Joanna and Antonia.

Tony’s eldest son is Danny who was born in 1954. While his father chose to pursue singing and acting, Danny aspired to be behind the camera. According to IMDb, he is a respected producer with over 50 credits on Live by Request: K.D. Lang, Tony Bennett: An American Classic in 2006 and Tony Bennett: Duets II in 2012, among many others.

Danny’s work as a producer has even earned him two Emmy nominations and a win. He received the Outstanding Special Award for Variety, Music, or Comedy at the 2007 Emmys for Tony Bennett: An American Classic. As for his personal life, according to People, Danny is the doting father to a son he shares with his girlfriend Hadley Spanier.

Danny has been Tony’s manager for over 40 years. The music connoisseur has witnessed his father’s biggest hits, including several collaborations with Lady Gaga. He praised his father in an August 2021 interview with Variety, sharing that “when others zigzag, he zigzags.”

“He has short-term memory loss. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have it all stored inside him,” Danny said. “He doesn’t use a teleprompter. Never miss a line. He reaches that stage and leaves. Tony may not remember every part of this show. But when he stepped to the side of the stage, the first thing he said to me was, ‘I love being a singer.'”

Dae Bennett

The singer’s second son, Dae, who was born Daegal according to his website, arrived in 1955. Ever since he was a child, Dae has always longed to fill in his father’s superstar footsteps. Besides singing, Dae is a drummer, music producer, and audio editor.

According to his website, he built his first professional studio called Hillside Sound in his early 20s. He finally opened Bennett Studios in 2001 and created music there for 10 years before closing in 2011. Today Dae works as a freelance producer and sound engineer.

Like his older brother, Dae has been recognized throughout his career. He has won seven Grammy Awards and one Emmy Award.

Joanna Bennett

Tony’s daughter Joanna was born in 1970. The brunette beauty stayed by her father’s side for most of his successful career, appearing alongside him at many red-carpet events. In the early ’70s, the hitmaker spent a lot of time in London hosting the Tony Bennett series on Talk of the Town. Joanna and Sandra visited him several times and even took a trip to Regents Park Zoo when she was a little girl.

In 2005, Joanna, along with the rest of her siblings, attended the Kennedy Center Honors, where her father was honored for his contributions to music. Eleven years later, she beamed from ear to ear as she walked the red carpet with her dad in New York City ahead of her 90th birthday. Joanna is such an understanding daughter.

Antonia Bennett

Tony’s youngest daughter Antonia was born in 1974. Of all his children, Antonia shares the deepest musical bond with her father. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, she became a successful jazz and alternative music singer. Antonia is also an actress. According to IMDb, he has had roles in Always Here For You in 2011, Changeling in 2008, and Dysfunctional Book Club in 2007.

Antonia has been married to her husband Ronen Helmann since 2013. The couple has no children yet.
