Early life
Raver-Lampman was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and was adopted as a newborn. She was raised as an only child and has traveled across the world (over 50 countries). She experienced a livelihood in the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and India when she was young due to her mother’s job. She has a female cousin, whom she is older than by twenty years.
She attended Governor’s School for the Arts, a performing arts high school, as well as Maury High in Norfolk. She then proceeded to College in New York City at Marymount Manhattan College. During her high school days, she began her career as a professional actress and began doing distance learning for her junior year.
She also tried her hands on Hair production, and she temporarily left her course with just a semester to graduation, but later in 2012, she returned to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater.
Career
Raver-Lampman’s career began in a music theatre. Her debut professional theater role was in a production called Children of Eden in May 2010; it was produced by Astoria Performing Art Center. She won a leading role after she auditioned for the musical at college while she was a sophomore. She then auditioned for and later on joined the 2010 national tour of Hair, from which she earned her very own Equity card.
Raver-Lampman made her Broadway debut in the summer of 2011 when Hair returned to Broadway on tour. She left Hair when the production closed on Broadway in September. The following fall, Raver-Lampman starred in the third national tour of the musical Jekyll & Hyde as an ensemble member and understudy for the title role, Lucy Harris.
The production moved to Broadway in April 2013 for a limited two-month engagement but ended after one month. Later in 2013, Raver-Lampman was cast in the original Broadway production of A Night with Janis Joplin. She performed as a swing act until the show ended in February 2014 and was later cast on the first US tour of the musical Wicked as a stand-in for the lead role of Elphaba.
After her one-year deal with Wicked ended, Raver-Lampman went back to New York in March 2015 and later auditioned for one of the two roles that Hamilton added to her show after her Off-Broadway. She was cast and became part of Hamilton’s original cast on Broadway, as well as a stunt double for the three female leads: Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy/Maria Reynolds.
Hamilton started in August 2015. In September 2015, Raver-Lampman was part of a star-studded reading of an official rock musical titled Galileo. In December that year, she took part in a workshop by MCC Theatre of Alice By Heart.
Somewhere in January 2016, it was announced that she was cast as Pearl Krabs in the Chicago production tryout of the music SpongeBob SquarePants. In April 2016 She left Hamilton and is one of the two original cast members who did not take part in the filming of the production.
She subsequently returned to Hamilton later that year as an official member of the show’s Chicago production, which began previews in September 2016. She joined the show’s first national tour In March 2017, starring as Angelica. She moved along with the show until the end of 2017, performing in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
